War was imposed on Ayatollah Khamenei by the Zionists and Western imperialists, who wanted Iran to submit and kneel. Under his wise and visionary leadership, alongside brave commanders who were themselves martyred, Iran resisted.
Palestine was not one war among many for him. He called it the central cause of the Islamic world, and he treated it as the ultimate test of humanity: the line of morality itself.
He provided actual support to the Palestinian resistance, in money, weapons, and training, while Arab and Muslim leaders stood by, witnessing the oppression of Palestine.

The World Awakens
And so it was as he had foreseen. The world has awoken to the issue of Palestine and to the evils of the Zionists and the imperialists.
The genocide in Gaza revealed the true faces of everyone. The blood sacrifice of the innocent Palestinian children evoked a fervor for justice across the world.
And while world leaders buckled in fear and political games, an 86-year-old man stood alone among the Muslim leaders, doubling down on his support for the Palestinian resistance.
The Sermon of October 4
On October 4, 2024, days after the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and amid open threats of assassination, he announced in advance when and where he would appear, and led the Friday prayer in Tehran himself.
Rifle in hand at the pulpit, he urged Muslims and people of conscience to "double your efforts" in the cause of Palestine, and called on the Muslim governments to unite against the Zionist entity.

From his first sermons to his last, Palestine never left his agenda.
1962-1979
A cause from the beginning
Palestine was part of the revolutionary movement's message from its earliest days. Support for the Palestinian cause was written into the Islamic Republic at its birth.
1989
The cause inherited
On becoming Leader he kept Palestine at the center of Iran's foreign policy, and Quds Day marches filled Iranian cities every year of his leadership.
2000
Lebanon liberated
The Zionist entity withdrew from south Lebanon, the first Arab land freed by resistance rather than negotiation. He called it proof that resistance works.
2006
The 33-Day War
Hezbollah, built with Iranian support, withstood the Zionist entity for 33 days and forced it back. The resistance doctrine was vindicated in open war.
2008-2021
Gaza under siege
Through four wars on Gaza he armed and funded the resistance while Arab governments normalized relations with the occupier one by one.

He praised the operation as the work of the Palestinians themselves and stood by Gaza through the genocide that followed, when most governments fell silent.
